Did you know computers are inside the things we use every day? They’re in our cars, our cell phones, alarm clocks and televisions.
In order to work, they all need a computer programmer to tell them what to do. Programmers are the people who dream up new things and then write the instructions that bring their ideas to life. We want to help people understand what programming is, different jobs programmers can have and how to gain the skills they need to become one someday.
* The number of unfilled computing jobs comes from the sum of the per-state jobs data from The Conference Board’s Help Wanted OnLine®service.
